長岡技大生が料理を通したSDGs啓発活動を実践!!

 長岡技大留学生が、長島町の地元食材を利用した、母国お国自慢「料理教室・コンテスト」を行いました。
 留学生達は料理の味、つくり方などを通して町民や子供たちと楽しく交流しました。地域の食材を通して、
 SDGs解決を考えるきっかけとなりました。併せて、本学教員が、SDGs解決を視野に入れたジャガイモ
 増産の講演も行いました。



 SDGs awareness program was conducted by the students from Nagaoka University ofTechnology

The international students from Nagaoka University of Technology(NUT) participated
Nagashima Fiesta organized by Nagashima town in Kagoshima, Japan on December 2, 2018.
In this event, the students and a faculty member of NUT from Vietnam, Mexico, Nepal and
Mongolia cooked and exhibited each home countries` food using Nagashima`s seasonal
ingredients. The food was served to the locals of Nagashima town who visited the site. The
local people including children enjoyed interacting with the international students through
cooking activities. Besides this cooking event, NUT`s faculty member was invited as a guest
speaker to present research on production increased of potato on SDGs (Sustainable
Development Goals) .
